Lily O’Farrell

Lily O’Farrell is a cartoonist from London. She studied Sociology at the University of Manchester, has dragged her observations around the London open mic comedy circuit and has been told she has ‘an attitude problem’ by most of the men who’ve employed her.

In 2017 whilst working as a waitress, she started doodling on the back of receipts (she was a terrible waitress). Since then, she’s grown a large online following with her funny drawings about the everyday annoyances of womanhood.

Lily’s first book Kyle Theory was published 19 August 2021.

Kyle Theory

Lily O’Farrell started drawing cartoons as a way of making sense of the everyday sexism she encountered as a young woman, and her Instagram feed has now grown to over 225,000 followers.

In Kyle Theory, Lily addresses the pressing issues of the day through hilarious and relatable cartoons, from #MeToo and the patriarchy, to racism, internet culture and how to deal with trolls. Feminism is for everybody, and so is this book.
